AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE,

STATE OF CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE

OF FUNDS FOR THE TRAINING OF SUPERVISORS ELECT

                                                            

 

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, do ordain as follows:

 

Section 1.  Pursuant to Section 25208.4 of the California Government Code, the Board of Supervisors may authorize the use of County Funds for the training and orientation of persons elected to, but who have not yet assumed, office as a member of the Board of Supervisors.

 

Section 2.  Any person that has been elected to the Board of Supervisors, but has not yet assumed office, may request in writing that the Board of Supervisors authorize the expenditure of funds for training and orientation of the Supervisor‑elect.  The Board of Supervisors may authorize such expenditures as the Board deems proper and beneficial to the exercise of Supervisorial duties by the newly elected Supervisor, including funds for payment of course fees and materials, travel and per diem expenses, and consultant service.

 

Section 3.  All expenses allowed for travel shall conform to the procedures and standards for reimbursement as set forth in the County of Riverside Code of Administrative Regulations Division 3, and all expenses shall be reported on Riverside County General Form 14, Expense Reimbursement Claim.
