AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE
CREATING A HOUSING COMMISSION
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Housing Commission. Pursuant to Section 34291 of the Health and Safety Code, there is hereby created the Riverside County Housing Commission.
SECTION 2. The Commission shall consist of 11 residents of the county, two from each Supervisorial District and one at large. The Board of Supervisors shall initially appoint 6 members for two-year terms, and 5 members for one-year terms, expiring on June 30. Subsequent terms shall be two years.
SECTION 3. The Commission shall choose its on Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary, who may call on the Executive Director for clerical assistance.
SECTION 4. The Commission shall hold regular meetings at least every two months, which shall be subject to the Ralph M. Brown Act.
SECTION 5. The Commission shall be advisory to the Board of Supervisors acting as the governing board of the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside in matters affecting said Authority.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take affect 30 days after its adoption.
