About the Riverside County Clerk of the Board
The Clerk of the Board manages the legislative branch of government under the Board of Supervisors. The Clerk is responsible for human resources, budgeting and many other mandated responsibilities on behalf of five supervisorial districts, and staff which include board staff, an administrative analyst, and information management. The Clerk is responsible for the preparation, management, and oversight of a $10 million budget.
Customer Service Mission
The Board of Supervisors has a wide range of constituents who access its information and participates in or influences decisions made by the Board of Supervisors. The Clerk of the Board is responsible for maintaining local ordinances and board policies, upholding the Public Records Act, the Brown Act, and other policies of the Board of Supervisors. Riverside County residents rely on the integrity of and equitable access to information, referrals to services, and the professionalism provided by the Office of the Clerk of the Board.
The Clerk of the Board has a well-established customer service plan in place. The goals and objectives of the Customer Service Plan are:

• Preserve the past
• Record the present
• Provide accessibility to official county records and information
The Clerk of the Board continues to explore opportunities to expand and enhance customer service to the public by revising the Records Retention Policy and modifying its website. The Clerk of the Board invests in staff through the expansion of education and staff development opportunities. Additionally, customer service will improve greatly when our multi-year records digitization project is complete, making all Clerk of the Board records available at any time to anyone with access to the internet.
